What looks good on paper, is not what is necessarily good in practice. 
I'm sure whoever thought that one up was looking to move up the corporate ladder. Although, nowadays everyone is ridiculously liable for everything they do... thankfully its not like the US here in terms of the amount of lawsuits, but I'm sure we're not too far behind.
